Colonic Hydroptherapy Contraindictions
A contraindication is a symptom or condition that makes it advisable to not use a particular treatment or therapy. If you think you might have any of the below contraindications, please call us directly on 0413 838 645 to discuss further in detail.
The following conditions prohibit the use of colon hydrotherapy. If any of these do apply to you, we are not able to treat you with colon hydrotherapy at this present time, unless you have written consent from a GP or specialist stating otherwise.

Anal Fissure/Fistula (a tear in the colon)

Acute abdominal pain (please call to discuss further)

Anemia (severe)

Aneurysm

Cardiac Disease (severe, uncontrolled hypertension or congestive heart failure)

Cirrhosis

Colitis (acute)

Colon Cancer

Colon Surgery (less than twelve months post-op requires a doctor’s referral)

Colostomy

Crohn’s disease (acute inflammatory or bleeding stages)

Intracranial Hypertension

Diverticulitis

GI Hemorrhage/Perforation (history of requires a doctor’s referral)

Hemorrhoids (in a severely inflamed or severely bleeding stage)

Rectal Bleeding (other than minor hemorrhoids)

Recent heart attack

Hernia (abdominal/inguinal)

Kidney Dialysis

Pregnancy (unless previously had treatment)

Epilepsy

Tumour in the Rectum or Large Intestine

Ulcerative Colitis (active or bleeding)

Water Fasting (currently)
