Colon Hydrotherapy Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply specifically to Colon Hydrotherapy provided by Kaya Colonics & Wellness Centre and should be read together with Kaya’s General Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, applicable booking policies and before- and after-care information.
- Service Eligibility
Clients must be at least 18 years of age to independently book and undergo Colon Hydrotherapy. Kaya may, at its discretion and subject to suitability, accept a client aged 16–17 years where written consent from a parent or legal guardian has been provided and the client is accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or responsible adult.
Kaya reserves the right to assess whether Colon Hydrotherapy is appropriate and suitable for an individual client following consultation and health screening. Treatment may be modified, postponed or declined where appropriate for health, safety, suitability, informed-consent or professional-boundary reasons.
- Health Disclosure & Suitability
Clients must provide complete, accurate and current health information before treatment, including relevant medical history, medications, allergies, pregnancy status, recent surgery, illness, injury and any diagnosed or suspected health condition relevant to treatment suitability.
Colon Hydrotherapy may not be suitable for every client. Where a practitioner identifies a contraindication, health or safety concern, or considers that treatment may not be appropriate, Kaya may modify, postpone, discontinue or refuse treatment. Kaya may require advice or written clearance from an appropriate registered healthcare professional before proceeding.
Failure to disclose relevant information, or providing incomplete or inaccurate information, may result in the appointment being cancelled or treatment being discontinued. Clients must notify Kaya of relevant health changes before each future appointment.
- Contraindications to Colon Hydrotherapy
Colon Hydrotherapy may not be appropriate for clients with certain medical conditions or circumstances. Clients must disclose all relevant health conditions, medications, recent procedures and surgeries during consultation and before treatment.
The following conditions or circumstances are considered contraindications to Colon Hydrotherapy at Kaya Colonics & Wellness Centre. Treatment will not proceed where any of the following apply unless the condition has resolved, treatment is considered appropriate following further assessment, or Kaya has requested and received appropriate written medical clearance from the client’s GP or relevant specialist:

Medical Clearance
Kaya Colonics & Wellness Centre and its colon hydrotherapy practitioners do not diagnose medical conditions or determine whether a medical condition, medication, allergy, surgery or other medical circumstance is medically safe for Colon Hydrotherapy.
Where there is uncertainty regarding a client’s health or suitability for treatment, the client should consult their GP or relevant medical specialist before proceeding. Kaya may require written medical clearance before agreeing to provide treatment.
Medical clearance does not automatically guarantee that treatment will proceed. Kaya reserves the right to decline, postpone, modify or discontinue treatment where the practitioner reasonably considers that Colon Hydrotherapy is not appropriate or cannot be provided safely. Some contraindications may be temporary; eligibility may be reconsidered once the relevant condition has resolved or stabilised, subject to reassessment and, where required, medical clearance.
- Nature of Colon Hydrotherapy & Consent
Colon Hydrotherapy involves the gentle introduction of filtered, temperature-controlled water into the colon through a single-use rectal nozzle or speculum using Kaya’s closed-system colon hydrotherapy equipment.
The practitioner will explain the treatment process and provide an opportunity for the client to ask questions before treatment begins. Clients may experience sensations such as abdominal fullness, pressure, bowel-movement sensations or temporary cramping. The practitioner may adjust or discontinue the treatment according to the client’s comfort, presentation and response.
Appropriate privacy and draping will be maintained throughout the appointment. Consent is ongoing. The client may ask questions, request a modification or ask for the treatment to stop at any time. If a client chooses to terminate a session after treatment has commenced, the applicable treatment fee may still be charged, subject to the Australian Consumer Law.
- Client Responsibilities During Treatment
Clients must follow reasonable practitioner instructions relating to positioning, equipment use, hygiene, safety and the conduct of the treatment. Clients must not interfere with, adjust or operate colon hydrotherapy equipment unless specifically instructed or authorised by the practitioner.
Clients must immediately advise the practitioner if they experience significant pain, dizziness, nausea, unusual discomfort, bleeding or any other concerning symptom before, during or following treatment. Clients must disclose any health condition or recent medical event that may affect suitability before proceeding.
- Pricing, Deposit & Payment
Current treatment prices are displayed on Kaya’s website, Fresha booking page or quoted at the time of booking.
A 70% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure an appointment. The remaining 30% balance must be paid prior to or at the commencement of the scheduled appointment.
Where a client reschedules in accordance with Kaya’s Cancellation, Rescheduling & No-Shows Policy below, the deposit may be transferred as a credit to the rescheduled appointment. Payments may be accepted by credit/debit card, cash, eligible Kaya gift cards, pre-paid packages or other approved payment methods. Any applicable card surcharge or payment fee will be disclosed.
Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
- Cancellation, Rescheduling, Late Arrival & No-Shows
Kaya understands that appointments may occasionally need to be changed. As appointment times are reserved specifically for each client, the following conditions apply.
Rescheduling with at least 24 hours’ notice: An appointment may be rescheduled at no additional charge. The existing 70% deposit will be transferred as a credit to the rescheduled appointment.
Rescheduling with less than 24 hours’ notice: The existing deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to secure another appointment.
Late Arrival: Clients are responsible for arriving on time. If a client arrives late, the treatment time will be shortened accordingly to ensure subsequent appointments are not delayed. The full treatment fee will still apply.
If a client arrives 30 minutes or more after the scheduled appointment time, Kaya will be unable to provide the treatment. The appointment will be treated as a late cancellation/no-show, the 70% deposit will be forfeited, and a new deposit will be required to secure another appointment.
Cancellation: Deposits are non-refundable. Where sufficient notice is provided, Kaya may, at its discretion, allow the deposit to be transferred as a credit toward another eligible treatment or future appointment.
Cancellation within 6 hours or failure to attend: The deposit will be forfeited. Kaya may also charge the remaining 30% balance of the treatment fee, to the extent permitted by law.
Gift cards and pre-paid packages: Where an appointment is booked using a gift card or pre-paid package, Kaya may deduct the equivalent applicable cancellation, late-rescheduling or no-show amount from the gift card or package entitlement.
Nothing in this section excludes, restricts or modifies any refund, remedy, consumer guarantee or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
- Professional Conduct & Treatment Boundaries
Kaya is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful and professional treatment environment for clients, practitioners and staff. Sexualised, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, intimidating, harassing or otherwise inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
A practitioner may immediately stop treatment and, where appropriate, ask a client to leave if professional boundaries are breached, consent is withdrawn, reasonable directions are not followed, or continuing the appointment would compromise safety, wellbeing or the professional treatment environment. Where a session is ended because of inappropriate client conduct, the treatment fee may be retained or charged to the extent permitted by law.
- Right to Refuse, Modify, Postpone or Discontinue Treatment
Kaya Colonics & Wellness Centre reserves the right to refuse, modify, postpone or discontinue Colon Hydrotherapy where reasonably necessary to protect the health, safety, wellbeing, consent or professional boundaries of the client, practitioner, staff or other clients, or where the treatment is not appropriate or suitable in the circumstances.
This may include, without limitation, where:
- a contraindication, undisclosed health issue, illness, injury or other health or safety concern is identified;
- the practitioner reasonably considers the treatment unsuitable or considers that medical advice or clearance should be obtained before proceeding;
- the client is intoxicated, impaired, or appears unable to understand the treatment or provide informed consent;
- the client withdraws consent or consent becomes unclear;
- the client engages in sexualised, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, harassing, intimidating or otherwise inappropriate conduct;
- professional treatment boundaries are breached;
- the client fails to follow reasonable health, hygiene, safety or practitioner directions;
- the practitioner reasonably considers that continuing treatment may cause harm or compromise safety or wellbeing;
- circumstances arise that prevent the treatment from being delivered safely, professionally or in accordance with Kaya’s treatment standards;
Where reasonably practicable, Kaya will explain why treatment is being modified, postponed, discontinued or refused. This clause does not give Kaya an unrestricted right to discriminate or refuse a service on a basis prohibited by law. Decisions will be made consistently with applicable NSW and Commonwealth law, including anti-discrimination law and the Australian Consumer Law.
Where Kaya cannot provide a booked treatment for reasons attributable to Kaya rather than the client’s suitability, conduct or breach of these Terms & Conditions, any applicable refund or other remedy will be provided as required by law.
- Risks, Possible Effects & Aftercare
Clients acknowledge that individual responses to Colon Hydrotherapy vary. Possible temporary effects may include abdominal cramping or discomfort, bloating, changes in bowel movements, increased bowel activity, fatigue, nausea, dizziness or changes in hydration.
Clients should follow reasonable before- and after-care guidance provided by Kaya and seek appropriate medical attention if they experience severe, persistent or concerning symptoms following treatment.
Colon Hydrotherapy is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. Kaya does not guarantee any particular therapeutic, digestive, detoxification, weight-loss or health outcome.
- Coffee Colon Hydrotherapy
Where a client elects to receive Coffee Colon Hydrotherapy, additional substances are introduced as part of the treatment and additional suitability considerations may apply. The practitioner may determine that Coffee Colon Hydrotherapy is not suitable for a particular client even where standard Colon Hydrotherapy may otherwise be suitable.
Clients must disclose any known allergies, sensitivities, medications, health conditions or previous adverse reactions that may be relevant. No particular detoxification, liver, digestive or other health outcome from Coffee Colon Hydrotherapy is guaranteed.
- Privacy & Confidentiality
Client information, including health and contact information, will be handled confidentially and in accordance with applicable privacy requirements and Kaya’s Privacy Policy.
- Packages, Gift Cards & Refunds
Any Colon Hydrotherapy package is personal to the client and is non-transferable unless Kaya agrees otherwise. Pre-purchased packages are non-refundable to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law.
- Client Responsibility, Acknowledgement of Risk & Liability
Kaya Colonics & Wellness Centre relies on the health and other information provided by the client when assessing suitability for and providing Colon Hydrotherapy. Clients are responsible for providing complete, accurate and current information and for notifying Kaya of relevant changes before each appointment.
The client acknowledges that Colon Hydrotherapy involves rectal insertion and the introduction of water into the colon and that individual responses may vary. While reasonable care will be taken in providing the treatment, the client acknowledges and voluntarily accepts the ordinary and reasonably foreseeable risks associated with the treatment.
To the extent permitted by law, the client releases and holds harmless Kaya Colonics & Wellness Centre, its owners, practitioners, employees and contractors from claims, loss, damage, injury, costs or expenses arising from:
- the client’s failure to disclose, or inaccurate disclosure of, relevant health information, medical history, medications, pregnancy, illness, injury, surgery, allergies or other circumstances relevant to treatment suitability;
- the client’s failure to follow reasonable practitioner instructions, before- or after-care guidance, health or safety directions;
- ordinary and reasonably foreseeable risks or temporary effects associated with Colon Hydrotherapy that occur despite the treatment being provided with appropriate care and skill;
- the client’s decision to proceed with treatment after the nature of the treatment, relevant precautions and any identified risks have been explained;
The client acknowledges that no specific therapeutic, digestive, detoxification, cosmetic, weight-loss or health outcome has been promised or guaranteed and that individual results may vary.
This release does not apply to the extent that any loss, damage or injury is caused or contributed to by the negligence, breach of duty, unlawful conduct or other fault of Kaya Colonics & Wellness Centre or its practitioners, employees or contractors.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.
- Changes to These Terms
Kaya Colonics & Wellness Centre may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The terms made available to the client in connection with the booking will apply, subject to applicable law.
- Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
- Client Consent & Declaration
By booking and/or proceeding with Colon Hydrotherapy, I confirm that I have read and understood these Terms & Conditions, have provided complete and accurate health information, understand the nature of the treatment, and consent to proceed.
I understand that consent is ongoing and that I may ask questions or request that the treatment be modified or stopped at any time. I also understand that Kaya Colonics & Wellness Centre may refuse, modify, postpone or discontinue treatment where reasonably necessary for health, safety, suitability, informed consent, professional-boundary or conduct reasons, subject to applicable law.
- Duty to Notify
I agree to notify Kaya Colonics & Wellness Centre of any relevant change to my health, medications, pregnancy status, recent surgery, injury, illness or other circumstances before each future appointment, as these changes may affect my suitability for Colon Hydrotherapy.
