Skincare & Microneedling

Contraindications & Medical Considerations

⚠️ Contraindications & Medical Considerations

Microneedling is not suitable in certain conditions. Your practitioner will assess your skin and health history prior to treatment.

Treatment may not be suitable if you have:

  • Active acne, infection, or inflamed skin
  • Open wounds or unhealed skin
  • Cold sores (herpes simplex) in the area
  • Keloid or poor wound healing tendencies
  • Skin cancer or suspicious lesions
  • Blood clotting disorders

Additional care or medical clearance may be required if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have recently used Isotretinoin (within 6–12 months)
  • Have diabetes or autoimmune conditions
  • Have highly sensitive or reactive skin
  • Recently had laser, peels, or advanced skin treatments
  • Are using retinoids, steroids, or blood-thinning medications
